Proud to be a Part of The Diana Award
The Anti-Bullying Ambassador programme is part of the charity, The Diana Award. The Diana Award was founded as a legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales’ belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better.
Since 1999, the Diana Award has recognised over 45,000 ordinary young people who have made an extraordinary difference to their community.
The Diana Award does three things:
- We encourage young people for the contribution to their communities
- We empower young people to achieve their full potential
- We engage young people in social action to make a difference in the lives of others, through our Anti-bullying, Training and Mentoring Programmes.
The Diana award Anti-Bullying Ambassador
The Anti-Bullying Ambassador programme provides anti-bullying training to schools and Youth Organisations in the UK and Ireland. Our training aims to give students and staff the SKILLS, PRACTICAL IDEAS, KNOWLEDGE and CONFIDENCE to effectively TACKLE BULLYING in their schools and communities. After receiving our training students become Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and are responsible for raising awareness of bullying, leading on campaigns, promoting kindness and ensuring their peers stay safe both online and offline. Check out what some of the schools we have worked in have done here.
The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors Personalised Training Days are delivered within our school. The day sees the students training to be Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, equipping them with all the knowledge and skills they need to tackle bullying and raising awareness of the topic of bullying within our school/community.
The Ambassadors have created a video and song to promote prevention is better than a cure. Providing a safe environment around the school site.
