Rebecca Zacharova who achieved 9 GCSEs at grades A* and A

Banovallum is delighted to report very pleasing GCSE results in its first year of reporting as an academy.

60% of our student body achieved both maths and English at grade C or above and nearly a quarter of the year group achieved 10 GCSEs at grades C and above. In a time of significant examination change, Banovallum has maintained a commitment to quality first teaching and wider education and, as such, can be even more proud of the headline figures.

The atmosphere in school today has been fantastic! Students, parents and staff are celebrating together after a 5 years of excellent partnership. There is something for every student to be proud of.

“Although the results outcome will ultimately be reported differently this year and comparisons are difficult to make we can confidently say, at this stage, that we have seen a return to our ambitious targets. I am extremely proud to be able to lead such a vibrant and committed team of students and staff and we join the parents of our Year Elevens in feeling great pride at the results this year. Hard work is the key and we have seen that both in these outcomes, in the fantastic wider achievements and in yet another year of major improvements to the site.”
